We wish you a very happy March wherever you may be. We are in the middle of the plum blossom season here in Japan with spring and the cherry blossom season and hanami time just around the corner.

This month Goods from Japan and is sponsoring our Japan competition, which is open only to subscribers to our Japan newsletter.

Each month (or thereabouts!) we will be offering new prizes for our members all sent registered mail from Japan. This month we have a number of books on offer.

First prize is a copy of the new book The Nature of Japan by the renown naturalist Mark Brazil.

Other books on offer include the Kyoto Machida Restaurant Guide by Judith Clancy, Tokyo Hearts by Renae Lucas-Hall, Castles of the Samurai by Jennifer Mitchelhill and The Jungle is Neutral by F. Spencer Chapman, a World War II war story set in Malaya.
